I took the test as well. Here are my results.
I am 56 years old. My virtual age is 32.5 and my life expectancy is 100.5.
I have been jazzercising again for the past 6-7 years after a break of 15 years!
Each year since turning 50, people tell me that I look better than the previous year. I know that jazzercise has definitely contributed to my increased self-esteem, energy level, outlook on life and body image. I am also infinitely stronger and much more toned than ever before in my adult lifetime. I also appreciate the support, comraderie and community that jazzercise has offerred me and I believe that this combination of mind, body and spirit has made me a healthier and happier person.

My virtual age is 31.2 w/ life expectancy of 89.8. I'm 46 yrs old and 89
sounds like a great age for me.
I exercise regularly whether it's jazzercise or going for long walks with my lil' beagle or bike riding with my kids. I'll often drop to floor in the middle of house cleaning chores to do push ups, tricep dips using the stairs or hit the floor to do some crunches if I haven't made it to a class. I'll lunge forward 2 steps at a time when I'm climbing up any stairs. The small things add up at the end of the day :). I wish I enjoyed gardening cuz it's a great work out for your heart and awesome strength training for the legs.
I have high cholesterol even though I live a healthy lifestyle which can be discouraging but, I keep moving!
Happy living ladies!!

Tessie took the test - here are her results:
My virtual age is 42.2, with a life expectancy of 107.8. I'm 69 and will happily turn 70 on October 15.
I try to live a healthy lifestyle. I keep my mind and body active. My workout of choice is of course, Jazzercise. But in addition, I walk two miles a day at least 4x a week.
I garden to my heart's content, pampering my 450 plus roses. With the salmonella scare, some tomatoes and peppers currently co-exist with the roses. Using an organic spray makes this possible.

I came out to be 38.7 with a life expectancy of 101.7--not bad for someone who's chronologically 61.58. I attribute it to Jazzercise and a few good genes. My doctors all tell me to keep on doing what I'm doing. My gynecologist said I have the lungs and heart of an athlete. My eye doctor says aerobic activity helps protect eyes from glaucoma (which runs in my family) and my primary care physician says my blood pressure is 100/64 and my HDL count is way above the normal range. Those are the physical benefits which are measureable.
I've been doing Jazzercise for 19.5 years for the other benefits as well. It's never boring so I keep wanting to come. I drag myself in after a hard day of work because I know I'll leave feeling better than I did when I arrived. After a stressful day at work, I can feel the stress melt away after about 10 minutes of class.
I also cherish the friendships I've made at Jazzercise. It's a community of extraordinary, caring people.
One final benefit is that, now that Vick comes to class as well, I finally have a husband who enjoys dancing at wedding receptions and other social events.
Jazzercise is the best and the current Amherst center is the best of the best. The floor is gentle on the knees and feet, the center is always bright and clean, the lockers save us from lugging our weights and mats to class, and the air conditioning makes it possible to keep coming on hot summer days. Thank you for all you do. I truly appreciate it. Nancy

Jazzercise is different from other exercise regimens in that it is not boring. You are always learning new routines and having fun at the same time. You are also dancing with friends, which is fun.? Pam A.

I keep coming back for many reasons. My doctor pushes and pushes the importance of good exercise, I feel better, I am stronger than at any other time, and the knee friendly floor was a happy improvement. I love the music and the instructors are so upbeat. I like having different instructors because each adds their own favorite routines so repetition doesn't set in. The atmosphere is friendly. Mention of the "no hop options" allows for comfort in doing just that. The flexibility that the frequent classes and different times offer is a bonus. And I love that the new center cuts five or six minutes off my round trip!? Liz O

Jazzercise has provided me with a safe, fun, and disciplined approach to keeping in shape. Noticeable results in a matter of days included a positive attitude; ability to stay focused, and increased energy level. In just a matter of weeks, my body toned right up and I felt stronger, younger, and better!
The instructors are outstanding and it is obvious they truly enjoy their workouts too! Their stamina radiates to their students and each class is just as exciting as the last. I have also met some of my now closest friends at Jazzercise.
Thank you Jazzercise for inspiring me! I take my Vitamin J for Jazzercise at least 4 times a week! |
